Dem-NPL State House District 7 candidate Jason Thoms was the March 11 guest on Plain Talk hosted by Rob Port, conservative reporter, columnist, and podcaster, and Chad Oban, progressive co-host of the program.

Thoms expressed his love for the community and his concern about cost of living, combined with the fracturing of the Republican Party, were what motivated him to run.

Thoms also talked about his desire to support mental health issues, his wife’s death by suicide, and, if elected to office, making sure people have access to the help they need.
