Bismarck Leaders to Launch 2026 Campaign Season with High-Energy Kickoff Event

BISMARCK, N.D. — The Bismarck-Mandan Democratic–Nonpartisan League (Dem-NPL) will formally launch its 2026 election efforts later this month with a campaign kickoff social designed to introduce candidates, build momentum, and engage the community ahead of a pivotal election cycle.

The 2026 Campaign Kick-Off Social is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Apple Creek Country Club, 8921 Highway 10 in Bismarck. The event will bring together voters, supporters, and a full slate of regional candidates at what organizers describe as “the spark for the 2026 season.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet 15 legislative candidates representing four generations of leadership, as well as hear remarks from congressional candidate Trygve Hammer, who is seeking election to the U.S. House of Representatives. Members of the statewide ticket have also been invited to attend.

The evening’s program is structured to blend personal interaction with fast-paced political messaging:

The “Reception line.” Meet and greet candidates.
The “Lightning” Round: 2-minute stump speeches.
The Inside Scoop: Strategy updates from the ground.
The Perks: Hors d’oeuvres and a FUNdraising game.

In addition to the political programming, the event will feature hors d’oeuvres and a themed fundraising activity aimed at supporting campaign efforts while maintaining a social atmosphere.

Organizers say the kickoff event is intended not only to introduce candidates, but to energize volunteers and voters early in the campaign cycle.
