As part of their celebration and grand opening of an office in Bismarck on December 7, the Bismarck-Mandan Democratic-NPL organization collected donations for the Dream Center in Bismarck.

Recognizing the need in our community, the local Democrats chose to celebrate their new space with a donation drive for the Dream Center in Bismarck.

Two van loads of 500 pounds of food and over $300 in cash, checks, and gift cards were donated by those who attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the new office space in the Kennedy Center at 1902 East Divide, Bismarck. This office gives local Democrats a physical home for their campaign efforts for upcoming elections.

The donations were delivered to the Dream Center by Bob Valeu and Dan Schreck on Monday, December 8. The Dream Center provides food and meals for families in need in our community. This includes groceries, prepared breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and special celebrations.

In this time of food insecurity impacting our state’s most vulnerable populations caused by the Trump Administration’s cuts to food support programs – cuts fully supported by U.S. Rep. Julie Fedorchak, U.S. Sen. Kevin Cramer, and U.S. Sen. John Hoeven – local Democrats directed their energy to helping relieve some of that need for our neighbors in Bismarck-Mandan.
