NexGen Leaders Academy
On Saturday, January 10 from 9 am-3:30 pm, and Sunday, January 11 from 9 am-noon, the next generation of leaders will be gathering at the North Dakota Kennedy Center, 1902 E Divide Ave, Bismarck, to prepare them for seeking public office to help shape policies and laws that help working families.

What is NexGen Leaders Academy?
The Bis-Man Dem-NPL has developed the NexGen Leaders Academy, a comprehensive campaign training program designed to prepare candidates seeking public office at any level—from school and park boards to the state legislature. This program will give you the tools, resources, training, and skill development required to lead an effective campaign for elective office.

The program consists of five different sessions over 2 days, each structured for maximum learning and practical application:
- No cost to participate
- Sessions are led by experts in each topic area
- Each session includes:
- A presentation of information
- An opportunity to practice relevant skills with expert guidance
- A practical “homework” activity
- Work products from sessions will be usable during your campaign
- Program is designed for flexibility—recordings will be available for those who can’t attend every in-person session
- The skills learned will transfer to other areas of civic engagement and aid in the development of public policy
