District 34 Meeting

This District 34 meeting is to nominate and appoint an individual to serve on the Committee on Committees for the Democratic-NPL State Party Convention in March.

The individual appointed to the committee is crucial to the overall functioning of the convention as it controls the personnel selected for other crucial committees such as the permanent committee (the convention officers), the rules committee, and the credentials committee. Each legislative district in North Dakota appoints a single individual to serve on this committee, and that appointment needs to be made, and that name sent to the state party chair, by December 5.

The Committee on Committees typically meets once. Information about each of the committees it is populating and suggestions of names of people who have previously served on those committees will be sent out ahead of the meeting.

Anyone who attends the meeting will be able to make nominations, and subsequently, vote.
